10Jun09 Kyaiktiyo Pagoda (Golden Rock) in Myanmar

It was long journey to Kyaiktiyo from Bago.
But I was glad I could come here and I could see it!! I heard Bagan or Inle Lake is better than Kyaiktiyo. Everyone told me, why I chosed here, even the village people. But I wanted see the rock. I don't know why, just I had interesting it. You know, I like nature, that's why I think I have interesting the balance of nature:):) lol

チャイティーヨーパゴダと呼ばれる石を見てきました。この石の仏塔（７M）には仏陀の聖髪が納められてるそうで、その聖髪がこの石のバランスを保ってるのだとか？　本当かはさておき、この絶妙な自然のバランス素晴らしいです。皆会う人会う人にこの石見るより、バゴダやインレー湖を見に行った方がいいと薦めてくれたけど、なんだかこの石がどうしても気になってしまった私。でも結果、来て良かったです（笑）

But It was beautiful as I thought,,,Uh,, not beautiful,,,,I think "Fantastic" is a better word:)
Coz when I arrived at the rock, just stared rain, and it getting misty (top picture). The mist makes the rock Fantastic (visionary?).

10:30 Bago to Kyaito by Bus for 2h30min
13:20 Kyaito to Kin Pun by Pick up truck for 40min (Bago to Kin Pun 5000K about 500yen)
(I waited for the truck for 1h30min, coz low season now.)
15:30 Kin Pun to Yate town by Pick up truck for 40min (1500K about 150yen)
16:05 Yate town to Kyaiktiyo Paya by hiking for 45min (Entrance fee $6 Camera fee $2)
(I rushed to see sightseeing for the rock, coz last pick up was 6pm,,,,)
17:10 Kyaiktiyo Paya to Yate town by hiking for 25min
18:00 Yate town to Kin Pun by Pick up truck for 40min (1500K about 150yen)

I think 15:30 is time limit to take pick up truck to Yate town. If you can't take the truck at 15:30, you should give up, If you wanna come back to Kin Pun.
